True to the name 'Shivam' - consciousness, mindfulness, - we strive to make our items by re-using our existing resources, and natural, organic materials.

Our yoga mat bags are handmade using upcycled, vintage fabrics, while the aromatherapy eye pillows are filled with the healing goodness of organic lavender buds and organic flax seeds.

We hope to extend and share the journey of these goods as they make their way around the world. From our house to yours.

Namaste.

Wow..2015 is flying by fast! I cannot believe we are already in May. I thought I would have done so many projects in the first half of the year and I haven't even finished 50% of my list! Oh well, I still have one month left to pick up the pace! Yeah, right ;)

Anyways, I am going to keep this post short and sweet, and get straight to the point. I am running a special sale: Get 10% off all items over $20 in my shop till Saturday May 9, by using the code MOTHERSDAY2015 at checkout. items are shipped using 2-day Priority so you can still get them in time for the special mom in your life, be it your mom or a special friend or relative who is a super mom.

While we are on this topic, I just want to put my thoughts out there. To be honest, I did not grow up celebrating Mother's Day, and in fact resisted this idea for a long time, occasionally getting into arguments with friends about the need to celebrate moms for just the one day in the year, when we should be celebrating them EVERY DAY of the year! but the truth is that moms are the first ones to be taken for granted every time. We all go about our daily lives needing our mothers and thinking of her in times of trouble, but rarely appreciating her presence when times are good..because, well, "its Mom, she'll understand". o in a way it does make sense for the world to stop and thank this special force in our lives. While we should show our respect and love for moms everyday, it doesn't hurt to make her feel extra special on this one day. Just sayin'.

Hope you have a great Mother's Day :)
